Sheffield’s own E.D.E.N Film Production has announced a new film course for the LGBT community.
The project, called Thrashing Transphobia, invites you to take part in fourteen free evening classes to make a film about transphobia in Britain today. It should be great opportunity to not only learn some very handy filmmaking skills but also raise awareness for a very worthy cause.
Tackling the discrimination, bullying and prejudice that many transgender people face, E.D.E.N Managing Director Claire Watkinson will, with the help of industry experts, guide you through the process of making a professional feature length film. That film will then be screened on Transgender Day of Remembrance on 20 November 2015.
The project, which is funded by the Big Lottery Fund, will run weekday evenings from August until November in Sheffield and welcomes anyone who self-identifies as part of the LGBTQIA+ community. All you have to do to sign up is email email@example.com or phone 07725911736. MORE INFO HERE.
E.D.E.N has previously put on projects for the LGBT community, resulting in some wonderful films being made – a selection below.
