So the kids are back at school and summer is slowly dwindling away. Over worked master students are nervously handing in their dissertations and the university library gets a short breather before freshers and returning students pack their bags, ready to arrive and set up life in Sheffield. But since we last saw them Sheffield has changed. Gay/Lesbian/Bi/Trans/Queer Sheffield has changed.
While this summer saw the birth of excellent alternative night Invert #1 at the Bell Jar, queer dance party Q12 will be launching at Penelope’s this autumn and there are bigger changes on the scene, too. While Dempsey’s and Affinity remain, Prism will return to a newly decorated Raynor Lounge and Climax finally makes its way back to the home, sweet, sweet home that is The Sheffield Students Union.
All these new, exciting things mean that we’ll be looking for new writers to join us here at Climax Online.
So… do you want to write about the LGBT+ scene of the North? Do you want to helps us cover news, events and lifestyle in Sheffield and beyond? Do you blog/vlog/write or talk into a microphone on a regular basis and do you do it well? Then get in touch now – send an email with a CV and an example of your work to email@example.com. We look forward to hearing from you!
